Steps to refresh your Internet connection on a Windows device

1) Use Cortana ("Ask me anything") and type "cmd" 

A command prompt pops up. This is where you type the next step.

 

2) type "ipconfig /release" (no quotes) and hit enter

3) type "ipconfig /renew" and hit enter
