Why Do We Use Stripe?

Stripe is an online payments company. We use Stripe because we are not a payments company. We are a media company. Our time and effort is best spent helping to create media or allow others to consume it.

We don't want to worry about processing credit cards, we want to worry about the value of the services we offer and whether it's easy enough for our customers to pay us for these valuable services.

Thus, we don't handle credit cards. We use stripe because we want to focus on media and let someone else handle credit cards and the associated responsibilities of taking on the business-critical task of customer payments.
